The session attracted a diverse and international audience, mainly consisting of Electrical and Electronic Engineering students and young professionals passionate about renewable and thermal energy systems.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"717\" data-end=\"731\">OBJECTIVE<\/h2><p data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1181\">The primary goal of the session was to <strong data-start=\"772\" data-end=\"850\">bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world industry practices<\/strong>. The event aimed to inspire students and professionals by highlighting how theoretical concepts are applied in practical settings, especially in the renewable energy sector. Currently, he works on large-scale <strong data-start=\"1717\" data-end=\"1760\">solar, wind, and battery energy storage<\/strong> projects across North America. He is also an active contributor in professional bodies such as IEEE and CIGRE and supports initiatives that promote clean energy and sustainable practices globally.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"1959\" data-end=\"1972\">AUDIENCE<\/h2><p data-start=\"1974\" data-end=\"2452\">The webinar drew a <strong data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2021\">total of 94 participants<\/strong>, including <strong data-start=\"2033\" data-end=\"2078\">57 students from the University of Jaffna<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"2083\" data-end=\"2113\">37 international attendees<\/strong> from countries such as <strong data-start=\"2137\" data-end=\"2213\">India, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and more<\/strong>. The diversity of the audience enriched the session, bringing together perspectives from across continents. The event was promoted via social media platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp, and registration was conducted through Google Forms.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"2454\" data-end=\"2475\">EVENT PROCEEDING<\/h2><p data-start=\"2477\" data-end=\"2928\">The webinar began at <strong data-start=\"2498\" data-end=\"2525\">7:00 PM SLST (GMT+5:30)<\/strong> and kicked off with a warm welcome from <strong data-start=\"2566\" data-end=\"2587\">Vishwa Mahagamage<\/strong>, the event coordinator. Mr. Shaibu Ibrahim then took the stage and shared his journey from academic studies to real-world industry applications. He discussed practical challenges and opportunities in <strong data-start=\"2788\" data-end=\"2823\">solar and thermal power systems<\/strong>, the <strong data-start=\"2829\" data-end=\"2875\">importance of renewable energy integration<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"2881\" data-end=\"2909\">essential software tools<\/strong> used in the field.<\/p><p data-start=\"2930\" data-end=\"3215\">Attendees were particularly inspired by his insights on job search strategies, the role of networking, and real-life stories from his engineering career. The session concluded with an engaging Q&amp;A, followed by a <strong data-start=\"3142\" data-end=\"3181\">vote of thanks by Mrs. S. Nithusiga<\/strong>, the advisor of IEEE PES SBC UoJ.<\/p><h2 data-start=\"3217\" data-end=\"3238\">FEEDBACK SUMMARY<\/h2><p data-start=\"3240\" data-end=\"3400\">Participants praised the speaker\u2019s <strong data-start=\"3275\" data-end=\"3298\">approachable nature<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"3300\" data-end=\"3323\">clear communication<\/strong>, and <strong data-start=\"3329\" data-end=\"3361\">depth of technical knowledge<\/strong>.
