Mr. R. Yesindan graduated as the top of the field in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka, with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Honours (First Class) degree in 2024. He completed his undergraduate research internship at IIT Madras, India, worked as an Embedded Software Engineer in the industry, and is currently serving as a Lecturer (on contract) in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

  • Professor Eliathamby Ambikairajah Gold Medal for the top student in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
  • Migara Ranatunga Trust Award (2023/2024) by the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL), recognizing the best training performance among undergraduates from all universities in Sri Lanka.
  • Honored with the Prof. Eliathamby Ambikairajah Award for Excellence, recognizing top performance with the highest GPA in Semesters 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2.
  • Winner of the Sri Lanka Design Contest 2024, organized by the IEEE IAS Sri Lanka Chapter.
  • Honored with the Eng. Perambalam Vivegananthan Award for best-performing student in the course unit of Power Systems (EC6030).
  • Best Poster Presenter Award at Mora ERU Symposium 2024, University of Moratuwa. Recognized for presenting research on Wi-Fi CSI-Based Region Detection for Adaptive Video Compression and Localization.
  • Thalir: Final Year Batch Topper in 2024, awarded by David Pieris Group of Companies.
