Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna is offering various studentships and scholarships to assist financially disadvantaged students. The intention of giving studentships/scholarships is to prevent a student being affected by financial problems in continuing his/her studies. We believe that, it will at least give a small boost to the students who are really in need of financial support.
At this instance, on behalf of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the donors who are helping us to provide the financial assistance. We assure that, your contributions will reach appropriate students. While appreciating your timely assistance wholeheartedly, we humbly request you to continue helping us whenever the necessity arises.
Presently, there are twelve studentships/ scholarships offered by the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna. The details of each of them are given below.

14 | Endowment in memory of late Mr. Perampalam Vivegananthan | Rs. 30, 000 (6% of capital amount Rs. 500, 000) for the best performing student in the course unit of ‘Power Systems’ (EC6030). |
Applying for Studentship/ Scholarship
The application for studentship/ scholarship will be advertised on noticeboard or website of the Faculty of Engineering. Students shall collect/dowload the form and submit the duly filled form to the dean’s office, Faculty of Engineering before due date. The late and incomplete applications will not be entertained.

When you submit the form, please make sure that you have provided all the necessary information and signatures from the required authorities. We appreciate your corporation.
Selection Criteria
The collected applications from the applicants will be shortlised immediately after the deadline. The sub-committee for studentship/scholarship, Faculty of the Engineering, has prepared a set of rules to select eligible candidates for studentship/scholarship which can be found here.
