Eng B. Kiriparan obtained his B.Sc.(Eng) degree in the field of Civil Engineering from the University of Peradeniya in Year 2013 with the First Class Honours and awarded for best performance in strength of materials. After serving as Temporary instructor at structures laboratory of University of Peradeniya over half a year, he joined Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants (Pvt) Ltd as Structural Engineer in 2014. Then he was promoted as Design Office Manager involving in the design of structures ranging from low rise structures to high rise buildings till 2020. He joined Department of Civil Engineering, University of Jaffna as Lecturer (Probationary) in November 2020.
He is also a Chartered Engineer of Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka and a registered Structural Engineer in the directory of Structural Engineers under High-rise buildings (Category A). He is serving as the president of the Associate Member Chapter, Society of Structural Engineers – Sri Lanka for the year 2020/2021.

  • Served as vesting lecturer for undergraduate modules on “Design of Steel Structures” and “Bridge Engineering” at Faculty of Engineering General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka from 2018 to 2020.


Eng. B. Kiriparan joined Civil and Structural Engineering Consultants (pvt) Ltd in 2014 as a Structural Engineer and held responsible positions such as Design office Manager and Executive Director till 2020. He served as a key member in a renowned design team lead by Prof. Priyan Mendis, Eng. Shiromal Fernando and Eng. Bhathiya Waduge. He involved in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering designs, advanced structural modelling and analysis, construction management, quality assurance and quality control of the following projects.
