Eng. (Mrs.) P. Sangeetha obtained her B.Sc. (Hons) in Civil Engineering with Second Class (Upper Division) from the University of Peradeniya. She went on to complete her Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering (SLQF Level 10) at University of Peradeniya. Her M.Sc. thesis was titled “Strength Assessment of Marginal Soil Treated with Blended Rice Husk Ash-Based Binders and Stability of Embankments Incorporating These Binders.” She has served as an Academic Instructor for one year and as a Research Assistant for two years in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. Additionally, she worked as a Visiting Lecturer at the Faculty of Technology, University of Jaffna, for a period of four months. She is currently serving as a Lecturer (On Contract) in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna. She is also an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL).
