Students of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna won the championship for Chess at the Inter-Faculty Fresher’s Meet 2015. This was held in University of Jaffna, during October 2015, covering all nine faculties. Students who participated from the Faculty of Engineering are: (i) Santhirabalan Nirmalarajah (Captain), (ii) Youganathan Yogananth, (iii) Marimuththu Mathivathanan, (iv) Balasingam Balagashan, (v) Pathmakaran Thanojan, (vi) Santhiralingam Paraneetharan, (vii) Johivel Donald Nelson and (viii) Sebalamai Sujithran. The Faculty congratulates the above mentioned talented students.
