The first male hostel, located within Kilinochchi premises University of Jaffna, has been rehabilitated and students were given accommodation on 5th October 2014. Presently, first year students from Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering are occupying the hostel. There are two students in each room, have been provided with beds, study tables, chairs. Considering the rapid increment in student population and to ensure every student is getting reasonable accommodation within proximity, The Ministry of Higher education has granted permission to construct two more hostels within Kilinochchi premises, University of Jaffna. The building works have already been started in September 2014 and progressing well.
