D. S. Sampath attended workshop on Introduction to GIS Using ArcGIS (5 days training course) from 13th Feb – 17th Feb 2017 at GIS Solutions (Pvt) LTD, 370, Galle Road, Colombo 3. Workshop was organized by GIS solutions (Pvt.) Ltd. Department of Civil Engineering, University of Jaffna purchased 31 license of ArcGIS software from GIS solutions (Pvt.) Ltd. This training program also included in the same package. This workshop targeted to cover basic principles and some advanced analysis using ArcGIS software.
With this training the Faculty of Engineering expected to share its experience with many professionals in this region. The ArcGIS is the best tool for planning work in many Engineering applications.
