WaSo annual project meeting was held during 27th June to 3rd July 2015. Many professionals attended to the meeting by representing almost all the counties of WaSo Asia (Sri Lanka, Cambodia, and Bangladesh), WaSo Africa (Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, and Kenya) and Norway. The main part of WaSo project meetings was held on board of M/S Colour Fantasy, which is one of the largest ships in the world. There were another meetings at NORADs Head Office in Oslo, as well as the Norwegian University of Life Sciences.
Prof. Vasanthy Arasaratnam, Vice Chancellor, University of Jaffna, Dr. S. S. Sivakumar, Coordinator, WaSo Asia project of University of Jaffna, Dr. Thysanthy Mikunthan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Agricultural Engineering and Eng. Saliya Sampath, Project Secretory, WaSo Asia project of University of Jaffna attended WaSo annual project meeting from University of Jaffna side.
Also, Dr. S. S. Sivakumar and Dr. Thysanthy Mikunthan participated one month post-doctoral programme at University of Bergan, Telemark University College and Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway with parallel to the meeting. Eng. Saliya Sampath attended two summer school training courses at Telemark University College and Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Norway while attending annual meeting. They were attending the events from 18th June 2015 onwards for one month period.
