Wave theory and coastal engineering is a technical elective course offered for students in their 6th semester of study in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering. As part of the curriculum, the students visited specific locations along the Northern coastal belt of Sri Lanka (Mannar, Mullaitivu and Trincomalee) to study the coastal morphology, beach profiling and coastal waves. The field trip was organized on the 14th and 15th of November 2016.
