A full-day workshop on the theme “Designing Active Learning for Engineering Education” was conducted by the Accreditation Board of the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) head office in Colombo on 15th November 2016. Field Trip of Faculty students to study the Wave Theory and Coastal Engineering
Wave theory and coastal engineering is a technical elective course offered for students in their 6th semester of study in the field of Civil and Environmental Engineering. As part of the curriculum, the students visited specific locations along the Northern coastal belt of Sri Lanka (Mannar, Mullaitivu and Trincomalee) to study the coastal morphology, beach profiling and coastal waves.
