This awareness research presentation was jointly organized by the Department of Civil Engineering Faculty of Engineering of the University of Jaffna, Institute of Engineers of Northern Provincial Centre, Jaffna Managers Forum and Jaffna Science Association Section B. It was held at the Faculty of Engineering on 11th August 2014. This presentation was based the research carried out by Eng. S. Kuganesan from Norway under Dr. S.S. Sivakumar’s supervision. This event was very successful with the participation of 94 participants including Secretary, former GA, Senior Academics, Directors and Engineers.
The Norwegian Program for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research for Development (NORHED) is launched by Norwegian Agency for Development Corporation. Department of Civil Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering University of Jaffna has already formulated a partnership program with the Faculty of Engineering of University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka (UoP), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Institute of Technology of Cambodia, (ITC), Telemark University College Norway (TUC), University of Life Sciences Norway (UMB) through this NORHAD assistance.The Main partnership agreement was signed with NORHAD and University of Peradeniya in 2013.
