Professor Arumugam Nallanathan delivered a lecture to the students specializing in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Professor Nallanathan visited the Faculty on 3rd August 2015. He had an interactive discussion with the staff members of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. The staff had discussion on the Electrical and Electronic Engineering curriculum in general and detail discussion on the wireless communication andrelated subjects. Finally, he deliveredan hour long talk to students on latest developments in communication technology. This visit was a fantastic opportunity to share his thoughts with the staff while motivating the students with new technological developments from fundamental concepts in communication area.

Nallanathan Arumugam  is a Professor of Wireless Communications in the Department of Informatics at King’s College London (University of London). He served as the Head of Graduate Studies in the Faculty of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at King’s College London, 2011/12. He was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore from August 2000 to December 2007. His research interests include Massive-MIMO, Millimeter-wave communications, Energy Harvesting, Small Cell Networks, Cognitive Radio and Relay Networks. He published more than 250 Journal and Conference papers with 3700+ citations and H-index of 31. He is a co-recipient of the Best Paper Award presented at the 2007 IEEE International Conference on Ultra-Wideband. He is a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Vehicular Technology Society. He has been an editor of many IEEE Transactions. He received the IEEE Communications Society Signal Processing and Communications Electronics (SPCE) outstanding service award 2012 and IEEE Communications Society RCC Outstanding Service Award 2014. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE.
