Dr.P.Kathirgamanathan joined the Faculty in the permanent carder of the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies from September 2015. He has specialized in Mathematical and Mechanical Engineering. He is one of the ideal candidates to teach Engineering Mathematics and he has been recruited to teach the same.
Dr.Padmanathan Kathirgamanathan’s research includes numerical modeling of metal extrusion, pavement response model, chip seal surfacing, rock fall deformation models and seismic analysis of geo-technical problems. He has over 12 years of numerical modeling experience in the field of civil engineering, mechanical engineering and applied sciences and over 10 years of teaching experiences in mathematics. He holds two PhDs, one in Mathematics and other in Mechanical Engineering.
