The second discussion forum on “Discussion towards the next step of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna” was organized by IESL NPC on 25th September 2010 at Euroville Conference Hall, Nallur. Keynote speaker Prof. S.R.H. Hoole and other speakers of Dr. A. Atputharajah, Mr. R. Alex Angelito and Dr. K. Pirapaharan. Session was chaired by Eng. R. Muthuratnanandan, Chairman IESL NPC. Several video clip messages from former deans and deans of other faculties of Engineering and leading professionals were presented. Here messages from Prof S. Mahalingam (first DSc in Sri Lanka), Prof A. Kumar David (founder committee member of this Engineering Faculty), Prof S.B.S. Abayakoon (Vice Chancellor, University of Perdeniya), Dr. H.H.J. Keerthisena (founder dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna), Prof S.B. Weerakoon (dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya) and Prof. K.M.L. Liyanage (2nd dean of the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna) were presented.
