Managers and Engineers from MAS Active Factory in Mihinthale branch paid an official visit to the Faculty of Engineering on 29th January 2015. They delivered a talk and presentation to the undergraduates and explained the projects that have been handled in their factory to improve the productivity while minimizing the time taken and energy usage. They also focused on improving the safety features in the factory.
Video clips, during this presentation session, provided a good understanding on the latest available engineering technologies and motivated the undergraduates towards becoming skilled professionals. Furthermore, they suggested the undergraduates to initiate industry related projects in international standards. They were proud to state that their factory won five outstanding awards out of six in a competition between the MAS intimate factories in Sri Lanka. Overall, this visit was a valuable opportunity for our undergraduates to meet and share knowledge with the young professionals from the industry.
