He did his PhD in Manufacturing Engineering, at Loughborough University, UK (2000 – 2003) and B. Sc. (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering in University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. (1993 – 1997).

He has worked in many institutions for almost 20 years in different positions, including Lecturer, System Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Consultant, PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Application Specialist, architect, etc. The vast experience he holds in both academia and industry will definitely contribute to the development to the mechanical engineering section of the faculty.

He hold discussions with Head/Interdisciplinary Studies and Mechanical Engineering staff. The discussions were about curriculum development, teaching aid and lab development. He agreed to conduct a few modules for our mechanical engineering undergraduates. As manufacturing engineering is one of the sub-disciplines in mechanical engineering specialization in the faculty, Dr. A. G. Gunedran’s expertise in that area will be useful for us to develop a strong foundation in manufacturing engineering. The faculty thank him for visiting the faculty and helping us amidst his tight schedule.
