Mr. T. Kankeyan, who is attached to the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies as lecturer (probationary) in Mechanical Engineering, got the two years full scholarship for his MPhil research studies. He got study leave from the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies from 3rdofOctober 2016. He is reading for his MPhil studies at Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka. His research is on ‘Modelling, Experimental Investigation and Economic Analysis of Organic Rankine Cycle for Electricity Generation’ with the supervision from Dr. M.A. Wijewardena, Dr. J.G.A.S. Jayasekara andDr. R.A.C.P. Ranasinghe. Currently the Mechanical Engineering section is obtaining helps from many professors from leading Universities from foreign countries. Therefore even with the work load, it was managed to release Mr. Kankeyan for his research studies to complete and return after two year. The Faculty is wishing Mr. Kankeyan for the best performance in his MPhil research studies.
